The space between image, story and music has always fascinated composer Andreas Gutuen Aaser. His work on multi award-winning animation Heatwave, documentary Beyond the North Winds or fiction Pregnant Ground are all a result of an open and collaborative process and a desire to craft music with a fresh and impactful approach to storytelling.
From graduating with a MA in Composing from the National Film and Television School to working with Emmy Nominated composer Natalie Holt on projects such as Knightfall (History Channel) and Deadwater Fell (Channel 4) - using strong melodies and a combination of traditional orchestra and modern electronic textures is central to his work. 

 
When he's not in the studio, you will find him learning to pronounce different tones of the Chinese language or immersed in a good book that blends magical realism, philosophy and science fiction.
