Andreas Aaser (pronounced “OH-ser”) is a London-based, Norwegian composer who fuses classical and electronic music with sound design into striking new sound worlds.

A graduate of the UK’s National Film and Television School (NFTS), Andreas refined his craft under the mentorship of Emmy-nominated composer Natalie Holt. Through this collaboration he has written music for major franchises such as Marvel’s Loki (S1-2), Star Wars TV show Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ and AMCs next instalment of the Anne Rice universe The Talamasca. He co-scored (with Natalie) the Netflix film Through My Window and Channel 4’s drama Deadwater Fell (starring David Tennant).

His ability to craft striking, unconventional soundscapes, often incorporating organic and unexpected sounds, sets him apart in an industry that craves originality without sacrificing cinematic storytelling. His recent work includes western-inspired cellos and flutes for Satisfaction (nominated best score at Kino London), twisted vocals for Supervision (two best score nominations), and frantic guitars for multi-award winning animation Heatwave (Annecy, BAFTA LA, Edinburgh International Film Festival ++).

What sets Andreas apart is his remarkable ability to weave interesting and evocative moods into his compositions, a talent that resonates deeply with audiences. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical luminaries, including Hans Zimmer, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Moondog, Ennio Morricone, Ben Frost and Shostakovich, he fearlessly incorporates unconventional sounds and instruments, whether a bicycle wheel or the sounds of the human body.

In his search for new sounds Andreas also releases his own music. His self-released EP Songs of Tomorrow, with support from Help Musicians, was described as "a sonic landscape sculpted to transport listeners." He is currently writing an album inspired by the lives and sounds of trees for release and live performances in 2026.
